December 13, 2018 - Exam

Welcome to the last day of class . . . exam day!

1. Take one last look at your "Technology: Friend or Foe?" essay. Read it from the last sentence to the first sentence. Correct anything that needs correcting.
2. Look for in-text citations. If you borrowed information but put the information into your own words, that is called summarizing. You still need to credit the source with an in-text citation. (See me for a pink sheet if you need to refresh your memory.)
3. If you quote anything directly like numbers, you also need an in-text citation.
4. If you directly quote a sentence, phrase, or paragraph, you also need an in-text citation.
5. Look at your Works Cited page. Do you have:

  • Hanging indents?
  • Double spaced lines throughout - no extras?
  • All in-text references on the Works Cited page?
  • No extra sources that were not cited in your essay?
  • The heading of Works Cited centered in regular font?
6. On the note card provided, write about the revisions you made from the rough draft to the final copy.

7. Post your final copy in the space provided on CANVAS.

8. Turn in your peer editing sheet.

9  Go forth and enjoy the holidays!

Note: Grades will be posted no later than 5:00 pm on Sunday. Feel free to contact me if you have questions. Yes, it is too late to give me late assignments. The percentage you see on CANVAS after all grading is complete may not be the grade you earned. Your grade could be higher - never lower.
